Summary

It’s true. Women have a distinct set of challenges when it comes to creating live streaming content.

It takes a surprising amount of energy to be on camera, even more than anyone would think! We end up focused on so many other factors than just creating the content.

In order for us to effectively tackle live video, women have to remember that we’re good enough even when we are not pre-recording videos to perfection, because there are so many variables when it comes to streaming – it’s what makes it complex and that’s what makes live video so exciting!

When we are tired, we don’t pay enough attention to see that our energy is low, which leads to missed opportunities. The energy balance can quickly become out of whack due to the lack of sleep, poor nutrition, and constantly nurturing everyone except ourselves.

We worry that we won’t look good enough on camera, which is another reason women don’t do live video. Often, women spend way too much time making sure we look like someone else’s definition of ‘perfect’. We care about what the camera sees, not what we know ourselves to be. But we can be extremely impactful on video; we just have to take the chance.

And finally what holds women back from doing live video is sometimes that we work off of feelings and we let our pure emotions hold us back instead of keeping the mission in front of us.

These are missed opportunities for someone to be inspired. Because when women take action, others follow.
